Kayleen's Story

Photographing people is a personal experience for me. I see people's kids grow up. I get to meet new little family members. Once in a while my work ends up in the obituaries—the last professional portrait of a person—and that's personal, too.  Capturing the defining moments in people's lives is important for me as well as for them. As much as I love to get new customers, it is a special privilege to see so many people come back.

Kayleen's mom and dad first brought her to my studio after a terrible experience with school photos. They tried my School Portrait Package and were so excited with the results.

The following year Kayleen's parents didn't bother buying school photos at all.  I've done Kayleen's annual school portraits ever since.  Some years they upgraded to my Studio Portrait Package so that we had the time to capture her interests in music and cheerleading.

Kayleen isn't a little girl anymore. She's a young woman. I had the honor of producing her senior portraits. I couldn't help but think about my own little girl growing up so fast. These are great times for Kayleen's family and I worked hard to capture it in portraiture. The family chose my customizable Extreme Portrait Package which lead us to the Cuchara area in early fall—a place special to Kayleen. We finished the collection in the studio wrapping up 7 years of school portraits.

Kayleen is likely to move far away so I probably won't get to continue telling her story in portraiture. But she knows how much good portraiture can mean.  She'll know how to find a photographer worthy of her wherever it is she goes. I wish her all the best.

Seeking Quality Portraiture

As your photographer, my mission is to surprise you with my work. If I show you photos that look better than what you had pictured in your mind's eye, then I've succeeded.

I want you to have a personal experience that you enjoy and want to return to—one where we talk about what matters to you, your sensitivities, concerns and desires about how you look in a portrait. Then, together, we can develop a portrait session plan that you can be comfortable and confident with.

Finally, I'll combine professional grade photographic equipment—the best cameras and lenses that Nikon makes, Swiss-made lighting from Elinchrom—with years of knowledge and experience to create works of art in which you look your best.

Then you'll have experienced for yourself what sets me apart from point-and-shoot photography corporations—portraits that are not only artistic and technically excellent, but real.

Professional headshot

The headshot.  Anyone promoting themselves or their organization needs one. Business owners, artists, professionals, actors, insurance agents, real estate agents, musicians, authors, and the list goes on and on.  The right headshot can help you make that all-important positive first impression—or help you keep one.

Headshots are used just about everywhere including websites, business cards, stationary, print ads, billboards, news articles, books and much more.

At my studio or your location, I will create a portrait suited to you and your needs. You'll have a portrait that you can confidently use anywhere.
